Yes. Misdemeanor in Texas. But theft of $100-$750 value can still get you 6 months in a county lockup. Not to mention shot if you are trespassing on private property doing it.

You’re all talking about rape and murder, #### all I did was forget to adjust my tandems.
If you hear of suggested laziness. I am by far the least lazy truck driver out there. I cherish every chance I get to get out of the truck and actually do something physical. Pulling the pin and adjusting the tandems would’ve been a welcomed activity except I just spaced it.
Anyhow, lesson learned, I assure you.

and as proof, I drove for a refer company for two years. 95% of every load scaled out between 76 and 79,900 pounds. Every load had to be scaled in about 50 to 60% of the time the tandems needed to be adjusted.
New company like maybe 10% of loads are heavy enough to scale. I simply dropped the ball. Even this particular load, wouldn’t have warranted running across a scale.

There are different types of laziness. Physical as well as mental.
Forgetting to slide tandems is either fatigue or mental laziness.

    Oh give me a break.

Ive forgotten things when not tired and its not "mental laziness" to forget something.

If you want to argue your point better, call it perhaps failure to stick to a good checklist, or even to have one in the first place, that still wouldnt preclude oh say the shipper coming up with the bills to sign and throwing off a routine resulting in forgeting.

Im not defending it, but im unimpressed with your sanctimonious attitude

You leave out so much, long discussion on talk radio about this on Thursday, as part of the closing of these stores, Walgreens specifically cited the rise in shoplifting, as well, multiple other businesses have cited massive increases in shoplifting and theft having a serious impact on their bottom line. Further, S.F. police are stretched so thin, they respond to very few shoplifting calls. If you believe these changes are a good thing, if items get stolen from your truck, don't come crying to us or anyone else, as you'll get zero sympathy, honestly, those who support these changes, I personally hope they are the victim of these crimes.

BTW, further, 3 of 6 Walgreens in my area closed in the last two years as part of this restructuring, the one store had to two or 3 plainclothes security in the store due to shoplifting, and this in a Colorado suburb, not California, and sadly, Colorado is becoming California light at a rapid pace.

Depending on the state, it may show up on your MVR, hauling containers, I average 3 or 4 overwight axle tickets per year, it's unavoidable, they do not show up on my CSA, but they do show up on my MVR as: Overweight Axles, 0 points
