Where is everyone #5

Some young kid. Told him we have 2 trucks based out of the Binghamton area and I could tell in his voice he got excited. We've been looking for a new steady for at least 1 truck since Amazon bought out the warehouse we were doing Bayonne out of almost daily.

Anyways they have a new contract starting in July with another shipper we haul out of pretty ofteb and they'd like to find someone steady. Good enough rate to bounce back empty. Will see how out it pans out

Speaking of construction backups, what is the deal with people that try and block others? Do they think they’re law enforcement?

 

I try not to eat from QSR or Fast Food places.
Have never and will never eat anything from a Subway store. Stems from a story related from a district manager for a large franchise operator.
According to this person, they went to the store after hours to look into something. As a district manager, he had keys to all the stores. Upon entering the store, it was clear someone else was still there. Rounding the corner into the cook/prep area, he found the stores manager “engaged” with a large unsliced block of ham. Needless to say, fired on the spot.

 

Did he at least warm it up?

Because when you're less than half a mile from a lane ending, you'll get 50 stupid self absorbed ### holes that can't be bothered to merge properly. They'll race up, then force their way in. Now when you have a bunch of these tardals doing it, everyone else that has merged properly gets stuck sitting because everyone is cutting around the line.

People dont do this stuff at stores, so why is it okay to do it in traffic?

3ish weeks ago in Austin there was a fatal motorcycle wreck on 35 going S. Right 2 lanes closed, huge flashing signs, Txdot truck with lights blocking, police vehicles with lights on...no way not to see. People kept racing right up to the blocked area and cutting in. At about 1/4mi I blocked up those 2 right lanes and let traffic ahead of me move a bit. When Im about 500ft to the wreck some dicbag goes racing past me on the shoulder and #### near hits the cop car. I laid on my horn and got the cops attention, but they couldn't do anything to get that f'er to pull over.

 

At the loves right now. Pretty empty.

 

I do believe that it had been. Have to say that I have tried to block out the fine details.

 

I guess I just don’t get worked up about it. If I come up to a backup I’ll stay in whatever lane I’m in until the end. Blocking people or riding the vehicles ### in front of you to keep someone from getting in front of you is asking for trouble from some psycho road rage idiot. Last thing I want to deal with is an accident that should have never happened.

I give zero ####s about what other people are doing and I have eliminated so much stress from that it’s unreal.
