So I’ve seen all of these recent posts about guys getting overweight tickets and it left me with a few questions I can’t find the answer to.
1.)Is there a difference between going over a bridge vs down a street with a weight limit
2.)If a bridge is small and has a 20ton weight limit but it’s only 4 ft long, can you drive over it at 80Klbs because only one set of axles will be on it at one time.

A bridge will typically specify weight restrictions for 18 wheelers vs box trucks. As far as the tickets those are probably in reference to gents being over weight at the scale house.

I mean come on I got a point don’t I?
I’m kind of a prick so maybe not lol
and the other one I’m serious the Cairo bridge is listed at 37tons but I roll across it at 40 a lot. Just curious what the fee is gonna be when I’m caught.
I’m not gonna stop I just wanna know what’s what -
Lmao you got an opinion or an answer? You strike me as a fella with common sense so let’s hear it lolGod prefers Diesels Thanks this.

Well, I've come to learn that if you ask 3 different truckers a question, you will get at least 4 different answers!

years ago. i got lost up in the tops of the mountain peaks. it was dark and some what foggy. i came to a old green iron bridge. the height was okay. but i was like 15 tons over. i was in a real pickle and couldn't back up. so i backed up enough to get a running start. i hit that bridge with all the speed i could get up. The bad part was if the bridge fell. I didn't know if i was falling 10 feet or 2000 feet down. fog was at deck height.
