Whatever helps you get some sleep if you find yourself wired awake. Melatonin and/or Benadryl are must haves on the truck for me just in case.
What to bring to orientation?

Are you getting on a truck immediately after orientation ? If not just pack what you would for a three day Road trip.
Don’t over think it.
AND Congratulations !!! -
Bring everything that you are told to bring. Especially ANY documentation that you need that might be out of the norm.BigBob410 Thanks this. -

Pack lightly and pack what you can carry. Assuming you're getting on a truck after classes, sleeping bag/pillow/clothing because you will move from greyhound bus to motel to co. classroom to truck to motel etc. And you don't want to have to make 2 trips with your personal stuff. Last day of orientation, you will check out of motel and carry your stuff to class (remember, 1 trip), then you may get on a truck or go back to the motel. You will be glad you have packed lightly. Always have 2 pens and paper in your pocket and a folded paper towel so when you have to go #2 and there is no T.P. in the stall, you are covered ! One more thing, if you wear glasses, bring extra pair in case you break them. Have fun !
