My apologies for being away so long and just saw your questions. If you’re still wondering, things are going well here at H&M, just passed my 8 year mark (past 6 as O/O) I average just over 3,000 miles per week

    CerealKiller and Speed_Drums Thank this.

    • A fridge (super weird to me that this even needs to be said).
    • A power inverter, preferably 1800 watts (so that I can make my own coffee, and heat my own food).
    • Either an APU or no idling policy, as I sleep days and run nights, and the truck interior gets unbearably hot starting in the spring. I need to be able to keep the AC on.
    • No inward facing cameras. Preferably no company cameras at all.
    • No or minimal "safety" alarms (that I find wildly unsafe).
    • Hauling 53' Dry Van.
    • Oh, another thing I think is weird that requires mentioning, but a company that doesn't forbid the drivers from using a bluetooth headset.
Danny Herman checks all of those boxes except the refrigerator. Just buy your own.
    APU... Yes

    Inverter...Yes

    Outward only camera

No nanny systems. Camera will pick up stop signs and stop lights. No microphone on camera. Outward video only.

    Dry Van only

    Bluetooth headset....Yes

2+ years experience will get you $.50 cpm. Additional penny for all miles if you have HM Endorsement. Additional $.02 safety bonus potential. No short hauls. We do run into Southern California. Easy to get 3000+ miles per week. PXL_20210514_194234338.jpg

Yes, but that's good information to keep updated.
Are drivers allowed to take the truck home?

    SoulScream84 and tallguy66 Thank this.

I understand it is on a case by case basis, but not the norm. I live in Tucson and my home terminal is in Nogales. About 60 miles.

I should also add......the outward camera will pick up following distance. But.......you shouldn't be that close anyways!

Do they have any regional type runs? And do I have to have tanker and/or hazmat for dry van? (I read another comment that said tanker ‍♀️)

Nah, it's all good! Always good information to have, and to be posted here for others who are looking. I'm actually going to be making a jump in about 2 months, which is why I'm here reviewing the list! I never saw your response before, so I'm sorry I didn't thank it earlier, or reply. I appreciate the info!

I just read a review on indeed after seeing your post, and it said they get 1.5 days off for every week worked. So stay out 4 weeks and get 6 days off. Not bad. Questions:

    1. Where do you guys fuel at do you fuel at Love's or fuel enough at Love's (if you have forced fueling solutions) to get the unlimited monthly shower pass there?

    2. Qualcomm or PeopleNet or something else?

    3. Do they have any terminals within an hour drive of Charlotte, NC and if not what do you do about finding hometime parking, find parking yourself I guess?

    4. Do you get per diem?

    5. What would you estimate your average length of haul is per load?

    6. What speed are the trucks governed at?
