My RM gps is usually ok. On my way from NM on I-10, I decided to take 8 to the Phoenix bypass. My RM pretty much said “ Bypass Phoenix? I got u boss”
My copilot decided to take 8 all the way. Ok it will figure it out in a bit. But oh no. It kept want to reroute back to 8 all the way up 85 and even back on 10 into CA. It didn’t figure it out until I passed banning literally
No unusual settings. Past few trips it has always figured it out early on. But today it was scared of banning I reckon
Never had a gps get that stupid

They just switched out my Qualcom with a tablet running some piece of crap routing program named Pointe. The thing is absolutely worthless in my opinion. Qualcom was kind of clunky, and sometimes provided odd routes. But, they were always usable routes and kept up with things. New system, I don't even want to talk about it because it is so garbage and unusable.
I went and bought myself an OTR800 Garmin. Paid $550 for it at a Love's in Oregon (no sales tax!!!). Not happy with it either. The maps aren't up to date, if you edit a route to the route you want, it doesn't seem to hold your route and tries to route you back the way it originally gave you. It's missing several truck stops. The only way you can enter where you want to go is by entering the address. And, several of the addresses I entered, it couldn't find. It won't let you zoom into the map, pick the point on the map you want to go to and route you there.
Anyway, I bought a Garmin because it seemed like that was the one most preferred by other drivers. But, disappointed with it.
Thinking of having to go old school and write my route out on a sticky note and stick to the corner of my windshield.Coffey, Mototom and Linte_Loco Thank this. -
Bought my rm 750 and don’t even hardly use it anymore.
I’d rather use my Apple Maps and road atlas/customer direction.
Google earth is fantastic for looking at the roads. If I don’t like a sharp turn google earth shows alternatives.Six9GS and Linte_Loco Thank this. -
