I am starting their training this week. Would you say that Swift is a good company to work for overall? How is their training? Anything I should know before I start it? Thanks

 

My husband is currently with his mentor and it has gone horrible. He is finishing up his 6 weeks with him tomorrow. His DM has not treated him well either. My husband has talked with his DM then his DM talked to the mentor. And became worse with yelling putting my husband down and much much more. This company I believe do NOT treat their new drivers well especially the mentor(s). My husband said he has met some people with their mentors and have treated them like crap. So people from Swift be honest. The mentors and DM are together on this, what they are doing to my husband.

 

I am sorry your husband is having a bad go of things. My husband has had no complaints with his schooling or with his mentor. He recently went solo and likes his DM so far. Hopefully things will begin to improve for yours. I suggest your husband request a different mentor at the very least.

 

The DM is the mentor's DM.....your husband won't be assigned a DM until he is done with his training. He'll be put with a special DM on the "Developemental Fleet" that handles new drivers only until that DM thinks he's ready for a regular DM.

I am thinking about swift, based out of AZ. How many miles can I expected and weekly take home pay?

 

I am looking at SWIFT since it will fit my situation having a terminal less than a HR from me I live in Port Orchard, Wa

 

swift or trans am i have a prehire from both and not sure who to choose any suggestions please help
