Have a 94 international 4900 dump truck with tag axle. About 5 loads in the power steering seems to taper off until there’s nothing to turn corners with. Unloaded it is still very weak. The drivers side pump was replaced a few years ago. Any thoughts?

I thought there was only one pump? Do you have a hydraulic steering box on the right side you replaced?
AModelCat Thanks this. -
Once your fluid heats up, it becomes thinner and either your pump or steering gear is bypassing.

Steering gear box correct and there is two. Should have proof read. Rebuild kit or just just buy new pump?

Get it tested. A good shop will have a flowmeter and can isolate which one of the 3 components (steer boxes and pump) that is bypassing.
BoxCarKidd and Heavyd Thank this.
