horrible truck stops

Forget the hwy but there’s this little pos p/fj where it’s like 4 fuel islands and virtually no parking. Have to make a hard right around the building to get into fuel, don’t try it with a spread axle.

 

Is it the Pilot in Cookeville, TN?

I don't recall the Exit numbers on I-20 in Lousyana or Misses Hippy, there were a few Love's that strongly resemble your post. I-10, Louisiana and Mississippi had some wonderful fuel stops that were just a pleasant nightmare.
Very minimal "parking" and the 2 rights to the fuel island was enormously fun especially with a 53' Dry Van on 8th or 10th hole (weight wasn't the reason for hole selection, just Ride). I have slid Tandems up for some "Lower Prices" fuel challenges and such action only slightly improved access.

I-70 in Ohio just before WV there's one that's a real cherry.

 

That sounds familiar but it’s been two years

 

Sounds like the long gone Shenandoah in Old Washington, Ohio. Demolished around 2003 or so.

 

If it's a Pilot you're talking about, the last one on I-70 before West Virginia is Millersville. About 40 parking spots, not five, but yeah, they really crammed them in there when they designed it.

 

I m surprised no one mentioned the following truck stops: Pilot in Liverpool, NY (Syracuse). Pilot- Erie, PA. Alexandria and St Cloud Pilots in MN.

 

Opinions sought for these I-10 Locations:

Plateau Truck Stop, X 159, just east of Van Horn, TX.
A few times. I liked the, then, Uncrowded Parking Area, day or night.
Had/Haver Good Showers. Restaurant? No idea.

Traveling Tiger Center, Texas 87 Truck Stop, X 87.
I never visited.

Shell Truck Stop, X 49, Fabens, TX.
Fuel Stop a few times. Nothing else.

Main Street Market Truck Stop and National Truck Stop & Restaurant, X 155, N.M.
I usually went to Main Street T. S. for Prices on Fuel & Showers.

Petro, X 68, N.M.
Got a Trailer Flat from their wunerful Dirt parking. They charged a lot for a used install.
Been there numerous times b4 and after flat.

Landmark, Fraggle Rock, X-15, N.M. Skinny ramps.
NO SERVICES, just a Painted LAVA Rock.
X-366, Bowie Travel Center, AZ.

Something at X-17, AZ., but not Love's.

The Hook, X-1, AZ.
Bin thar a few times. NO Overnights.

T/A & Pilot, X-343, Rt. 301, west side, Baldwin, FL.
Been to both a few times. Fun was turning Left on Exiting either "stop".
