I’m between 2 companies to lease on to. 1 company F2F to be exact charges 165-220 a wk for a trailer I heard that is extremely high and no they do not cover the maintenance of the trailer. Now company 2 they’re charging me 5% of my loads for using their trailer but they cover the maintenance. Is 5% better than a flat fee especially if maintenance is covered? Of course I can find a trailer rental place and just rent or lease a trailer but due to everything going on equipment fees are overpriced so leasing is out of the question and I’m waiting to hear quotes for rentals. But based on the 2 would you prefer percentage or a flat fee?

165-220 per week is very reasonable. You can not find a dry van to lease even for a $1000 per month nowadays

I couldn't tell you anything about the current operation but if the big bad idiot has not been completely banished and he is 100% not involved and he's banned from the premises and has nothing to do with the bank accounts and nothing to do with the trucking and has nothing to do with the Personnel he is completely 100% total exiled from that business... then maybe.
But if he has any association whatsoever, if he's a limited partner if he works there if he has access to Personnel if he's a distant relative of someone who bought the place if he has any way whatsoever he is not 100% exiled from that business with a restraining order to keep him away from that business and the premises RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! -
