Well let's see if that 5 cents is worth it when you're sitting in Texas in 100 degree heat sweating your ### off in the truck because you can't idle.....lol
That fuel bonus/idle program is a bunch of bs. Good luck getting all these trucks to terminals to turn their speed up and down, and nevermind the whole calculation of it is beyond ridiculous....shouldn't have to do fn caluculus to figure out your fuel bonus lmao

What's the new fuel bonus policy? I never got anything about that.
Yeah, company I'm looking at pays percentage of load and the guys from Millis I talk to who went over there easily make what I grossing having an AWESOME week at Millis (i.e. out all 7 days and not going home the 8th).
I didn't even think about the annual safety bonus. My two years is August 27th, but I don't really want to wait until then to move on (plus when I asked about the vacation time coming to me after the 27th, if I'd be able to cash that out, I got a pretty cold shoulder [of course]). Hate to leave money on the table, but I figure I'll make that up in a month or two at the new place. -

Essentially you have to drive between 2 and 2 and a half hours to achieve one hour of inter trip idle time.
That's impossible in the summer in the south. -
Im pretty sure the fuel idle bonus policy especially when it comes to turning the truck up or down applies to those guys that we always see idling their truck on 50 degree days. I have sat next to trucks at terminals that when I’m waiting for b service that seem to idle non stop.
Still undecided and JOHNQPUBLIC Thank this. -
It's all a bunch of smoke and mirrors nonsent. That 5 cent raise isn't really enough meat on the bone when you see companies like Eklund advertising $0.60+ cpm and on top of that NO EAST COAST, not to mention the fuel bonus bs. if they honestly think they're going to attract and keep more drivers this way I think they're in for a surprise.
I know the grass isn't always greener on the other side.....but sometimes it really is.
