I bet these guys could help, but how about more info. What are you looking to pull? OTR?

Where are you out of and where do you want to run? Van, reefer, flat, tank? Seems like you would have had this narrowed down before you bought a truck. Just my $.02.Roger McG, Roberts450, Coffey and 7 others Thank this.

Maybe he's like me? I bought a truck, flatbed, chains, boomers, etc. Tarps were the last thing I bought, and almost changed my mind!77fib77 Thanks this.

In my operation I don’t need a tarp but if I were pulling a step it would cost someone a lot of money for me to use a tarp. One of my better friends only carries one equipment tarp and he says it takes $500 and the shipper to set the tarp on the load with a crane in order for him to use it. I believe I probably would be the same as him if I pulled a stepdeck.MLC Adventures said: ↑Maybe he's like me? Don't blame him! Mine have to way 115lbs or so each. Haven't used them yet since it's only my second load, but I didn't want to miss out on good loads for not having them.Banker said: ↑In my operation I don’t need a tarp but if I were pulling a step it would cost someone a lot of money for me to use a tarp. I don’t at all. He is one of the hardest and smartest workers I have worked with in the last 30 something years. Neither one of us works as hard as we did 30 years ago but we both work smarter and for way more money than we did back then.MLC Adventures said: ↑Don't blame him! Mine have to way 115lbs or so each.
