Honestly, it was just convenience. I was officially out of hours, drove 748 miles already and didn't feel like doing 2 more to get through Boise to the Stateline. Because I didn't think I would find parking there by the time I got there....besides....I was just wore out. It was a long day. I have a load on that I honestly should have had them remove from my trailer. However, it was late on Friday and more than.likely would have had to sit in Denver for the weekend without a load then. Just a crap load that took forever to get on and tarp.

I get fuel discounts here and I had shower credits. I've never been here and by the time I got here and stopped, I just didn't want to go any farther.

Speaking of TX. Your Rangers didn't enjoy the visit by my Rays this weekend. ;)

Good luck. The supply chain is so screwed up right now. I had a hole in one of my ac/ lines and they couldn't get one. The manufacturer needed 5 days to make one and no dealer around had one. Ended up paying stupid money to have one shipped next day from the east coast. Sucked. Now it is leaking at my firewall and the dryer is leaking. I feel your pain.

Edit: I still say you have one of the best looking shakers I've seen in a long time.

MO is one of the few places that land is still partly realistically priced. I liked TN, but land from 10k+/acre? nope nope nope. I see cheap doublewides on small lots priced 6x their value, and the crap is selling.

    What about TN?
160 acres? Is that small? You going to have a farm, bring animals and all? I thought 20 acres was good enough... I must be totally wrong.. :biggrin_25526:

It is stupid high by us. 4 years ago you could buy land for around $1k/acre. Now it is around $40k+/acre. Stupid. Alot of it has to do with the scamdemic. Now folks can work from home and live wherever they want. So some ####### sells his p.o.s. on the coast for big bucks and moves to Idaho and tries to change everything. Idaho will be blue by the next election I believe. We just don't have the population to offset all the folks coming in and they have priced decent folks out of the market. All the younger folks are leaving because they can't afford to stay.

Edit: when I started out in Colorado, I was buying land at $500/acre and buying all I could get my hands on. My how things have changed in such a short amount of time.

I've been in ag most of my life. We used to have a very large place and got into some financial trouble. So now I'm trying to diversify and not put all my eggs in one basket. Besides, I want to build something that my kids can be a part of and have a chance at a good life as they get older.

I've got a feeling once we shift back to "normal" that folks will start migrating back to the cities. Trying to get work done remotely and through video calls just isn't as effective as actually being there to do it.
