Pretty much what he said too. Not that it matters much to a driver but he mentioned they essentially went more or less with a flat rate type deal on the repairs. If its true, that'd be a 100% dealbreaker for me if I were looking for a job.

They did the same to the drivers, they say they pay hourly, but then they dictate how many hours each run gets. Pays 6, takes 10, could take 18, same $$$$$.

    Place is a ####ing JOKE!

Company I am doing some work for right now; the "health and wellness coordinator" is so fat she has to rest between words. If she weighs an ounce, she weighs 400 lbs. o_O

Most of us know which days we are working so we just pick a run every day. If they call on my days off, it's overtime but I don't have to take it. The only ones on call are drivers on open board that cover extra runs and runs of drivers that are off. Once they get 4 days in, they don't have to answer the phone. We've been short drivers for 5 years now so usually the only time someone gets called in is for overtime. That's the way it is in Brampton. I don't know about the other distribution centres. Every centre has a different contract.

I believe so, also you are not allowed to talk on a phone at all while driving, even if you have a Bluetooth headset.

Yeah #### that non sense. People who never been In a truck coming up with rules amd regulations for it again I see. Wonder if these same people would let an eye doctor perform heart surgery on them, I mean after all there still a doctor right? That makes about as much sense ......

No cameras at Brower but you can’t use the phone at all. Can’t even use a CB.

What are you saying is completely illegal; not allowing people to use their cellphone?

The use of devices such as a cellphone or GPS via handsfree/one-touch is perfectly legal everywhere and so long as they are either mounted to the vehicle or are not accessed directly, e.g., cellphone via headset/earpiece or vehicle hardware; GPS so long as it is vehicle-mounted and you are not programming it while driving; CB/VHF radios, etc.

    Company policies may differ.
