What’s the line haul schedule here I heard line haul can be home everyday but I’m confuse on how that can be unless they’re not running far?

From when I recently inquired at the Amarillo terminal, it's all "out and back" in a night, or day if you're one of those types. I used to hear about "bag runs" when trying to get onto the ABQ terminal(ABQ to Phoenix and back with a hotel stay). But from what the Amarillo person was implying, they relegate that to teams. Getting cheap on hotel expenses.

We run meet and turns or terminal to terminal. Depending on your home terminal the runs can be as long as 700 miles round trip. I run 634 miles every night on my scheduled run. We don't have that many drivers that run the road anymore so the vast majority of the drivers are home daily/nightly.

Sounds like a good deal off the bat. Estes is cool. But they have you away from the house for nights at a time.

Just my current job, but with hotels and better pay then. Had a call from a TM up in, well, Aurora CO a few months back and he made a solid offer. But never made a move on it. Probably gonna have to go up there in person and spin-doctor myself to get on now.

Significantly better pay. Upwards of .75/mile to sleep in the hotel.

Yeah, I've been running the numbers. .67-.75/mile to run those consists vs. ".50/mi"(when you include the per diem) to run the moo-juice tankers between Hartley and Denver or Hartley and Hutchinson.

    Lumper Humper Thanks this.

They running you hard 5 days a week followed by a 34 at home? Can u run extra board on recaps and stay out 2 months and have a solid 4 to 6+ days off?

You can do whatever you want on extra board. They aren't going to force you to go home when you're out
