I work with a guy that used to run for Swift dedicated out of the Minersville PA Wal-Mart DC. He was pulling in over a grand a week as a new driver. I also know guys that ran for Wal-Mart and after the changes a few years ago, quit and came back to my company. It really depends on what you want and how that particuliar DC is ran.

Do you have to run the same route every week or can you go all over?

If running for Crete's Walmart fleet depending on which one you run out of, you stay in one area, for example Cheyenne fleet does Wyoming,Colorado,Montana,Idaho,South Dakota, New Mexico and Utah. Every day is different to where you go.

Like previous post, it really depends on which Walmart account you get on.

Mankato's area is mostly just Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Each day you will get a different route and sometimes a back haul will be required.

If you run with crete or Shaffer you can always ask dispatch to send you to one of the Walmarts to help out for a week. Of course some Walmart keep the better longer runs for the dedicated on the account, so you might not get the highest possible miles in just 1 week but you will get an idea on what they do.

    TravR1 and Lonesome Thank this.

I'm thinking about it. I would be using the south Dallas terminal.

My preference is solo OTR, but I'm also used to taking home at least 1k a week most weeks. Not sure if I can give that up. lol

    Appreciate you making this thread.
