Well Landstar doesn't broker us freight. Landstar agents do. Which also number in the same size as BCO's.
Technically, Landstar itself does nothing more than process invoices and handle compliance issues.

I posed some questions awhile back about some of the bigger agents building their own fleets.
This was do to some wtf inexperienced drivers, foreigners, in brand new trucks.
I think this is the secret plan no one talks about if it blows up in their faces. They'll quickly convert all those guys to employees, and be able to retain some capacity, although it would be a fraction of what it is now.
