Reading is just promoting the racist patriarchy of cisgender oppression. Be a rebel and embrace illeteracy.

I take comfort in the respect I get from 4-wheelers & customers when I start feeling like a stray dog sleeping in a drop yard.

Not everyone lives in, or near a city.

Actually the worst thing I deal with on a daily basis is moron steering wheel holders in 65 mph trucks camping in the center lane for absolutely NO reason other than to be a pain in the ###. That and those that have no clue where they're going, so they throw the flashers on and drive 25 mph down the two lane roads, completely unaware that half the valley is backed up behind them.

    That’s encouraging.
That’s a good paying job and available anywhere in any town large or small.
And room to advance, eventually to NP or PA.

if you’re good at fixing stuff ,being a diesel mechanic might be something to consider.

I was regional for several years and then when we started a family I got a job on the maintenance staff at a hospital.
Slightly less money but was a 8-5 Monday - Friday job .

then I got an offer to do the same thing at a large church and conference center , and then tripped over a job working with leaky underground fuel tanks. Which I really enjoyed.
You had to be half detective and half mechanic to figure out what’s wrong and how to fix it .

Lol I kinda hit the point different from yours. I did 5 years otr. Then the home life called me. So I got hired on with Sysco. Been here for 2 years. Now everytime I fuel at the local truck, I am just jealous of every sleeper around me. Someday I'll be out there

For sure. For us door slammers it can be a big deal though.

A little exercise can make a huge difference for burn out. Healthy body, healthy mind.
