The classes actually exist. We have two government hunters based near here, one state and one federal. They offer yearly classes on live trapping. They're pretty sharp and have a lot of good advice. The only animal they don't advise to live-trap are skunks.
Check your local county ag department for details.
I'm not sure if our local Chinese Buffet owner took the class or not. Probably did but I can't prove it.
