I have a 2017 Freightliner mid roof that i purchased about a year ago, my 2nd truck. I had family friend that was going to drive for me, but didn't initially. truck sat for about 6 months. then early this year they tried driving for me and long story short it didn't work out. So now I have a truck sitting again but now I'm paying insurance on it. I'm leaning towards selling as finding motivated OTR drivers is hard to say the least. I've seen trucks selling at $60k with more miles than i have on my truck, 350k. I purchased the truck for about half what they are currently sellin for. sell it or park it?

In this market selling a truck is easy whereas finding a driver is hard. But you might be able to entice a driver with a big fat hiring bonus and then make it back on the high rates. 3 equal payouts after 30 days, 90 days, and 6 months.

If you have no driver then it's parked now anyway, so list it for what they're selling for & bank the cash.

Letting a truck sit is one of the worst things you can do to it

    Don't let your meatloaf either

I agree fully with every post here.

Sitting is awful for the truck. The market is a sellers market.

As hot as the market is right now that truck will sell for asking price before the ink on the ad is dry .
