Straps over rubber tracks

What’s it weigh

 

3.5 tons. Boom & blade securment with chains.

 

Not trying to start a pissing match here, those tiny 1s have no spots for chains, I’ve hauled similar stuff, strapped over the tracks. If the machine weighs 6,000lbs 2 straps is sufficient. I prefer chaining over strapping, and trust me there is nowhere to chain on some of the really mini machines. Terrible designs.

 

I wouldn't do it. Tracks can pop off pretty easily. IMO chains are the only correct way to secure construction machinery.

Also the bucket should require securement as well. Guys have been nailed for unsecured loads for not chaining down the bucket.

 

7000lbs your good to go. There is a minimum to be legal and what we would all prefer to be ideal. Sometimes we have to secure the minimum because its the best u can do. Secure the bucket because hydraulics alone is not legal.
