I realize they are nothing new. However, they are a fad. Like kale was.
I read an article awhile back about it. I looked, can't find it. If I remember correctly it started because of a crop in California that needed sold. So the farmers got together and started an ad campaign. Like all ad campaigns do, pretty much said you need this and can't live without it. They glamorized it. Something like that anyways.

Train connects downtown to everywhere in the north and west zones of Rio...
The red arrow points to the statue of Christ on top of the hill... That is in the south zone of the city... I was north of that.
Some beautiful trees here... reminds me of Savanah in GA...
There's a huge fenced park in the background, a museum inside and the Zoo nearby... Folks, families and all have picnics, barbecues in there...
That's a sewage canal... runs thru some areas in the city...
The very old, dirty empty building on the right used to be the old train station... it has been under some kind of construction for I don't know how long...
