    Here is kind of an off the cuff random question. By any chance at all would a 379 hood fit a 389? Just curious. Both model petes look identical except the the 378 is slanted a bit more.



    Also, does any one run a TH55 Fontaine lowboy?

    No. The 389 hood is longer than a 379. I can’t recall the exact difference but it’s a few inches longer on the 389.

    BBC 379exhd is 127". 389 is 131".

    No im sorry, i got it backwards. I meant if the 379 would fit 378.

    The standard hood 379 and the 378 are both 119” bbc I think. So it just depends on if the 378 is a set forward axle or not. The main difference is the 378 has a fiberglass hood.

    There’s another thread on here somewhere with that same question. Some say it will work and others say the 378 cab sits higher so it won’t. Personally I have no idea.
