Tstone, keep an open mind on teaming if the company gets nervous.

good thinking znine, team would be a good option or getting with a company that is known for high percentage drop and hook. watkins/shepard does alot of furniture where he would be tailgating more and messin with his back, hope it works out for u TSTONE

I know their are super truckers out their who kills themselves on making the newbie feel like its all or nothing I pity them.
No U won't get alot of hometime with this company or any company for tht matter just starting out. Yet I don't see why that is an odd question for a researching mewb to ask.

U will always get the asanine response of Hey, I put on chains alot, out west When u first got dispatched that way u knew it was a possibility right:biggrin_25521:. There is a pro and con to every situation and every industry; some drivers are hustlers and some drivers are lazy its been established for years this concept.

IF U DO NOT RUN TEAMS U WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT GOES ON IN ANOTHER MANS TRUCK UNLESS HE TELLS U.

If u don't get home for Turkey day u know what kind of home and family dudes have waiting for them.:biggrin_25523:

pro and con to everything is right, and i agree with him.. for once...eh :biggrin_25521:..
like pros to runnin local, home daily... con to runnin local and being the new kid on the block, (nawlins ) prob has to work thanksgiving, or x-mas, or new years. other pro to local, get to sit on here and talk crap on a company that used to pay good, then didnt, and HE expected to do the same amount of pay for 60% -/+ less of the pay.... :biggrin_2559:

newbs ask the question about hometime all the time,. cause they are exactly that.. NEW GUYS, they dont know the answers, and they dont no wat to expect.. hence the truckesreport.com, its here for help in answering questions
again... im scared something is wrong with me for :biggrin_25524:agreeing with my man nawlins:biggrin_2554:... but he is right, as a newb you wont get home as often as you would with some time in with the company. thats industry wide... a newb needs to prove to the company that he/she is willing to do the work, even the crap local work.. yeah u shouldnt have to prove yourself to anyone... but this is a " scratch my back ill scracth yours " industry, and yes, disp has their fav drivers, and their most hated drivers... fact of trucking....

nawlins... knowbody is theire anymore, vern is in nc, just dave and pete, and dave prob wouldnt give u nothing but hello and hows the local, pete will prob chat with you, he'll update you..and pete may even try and ask u to come back... he needs NE runners....:biggrin_2559:
