Prime: Orientation and Training?

Our first day was safety telling us what can get us sent home, the DOT physicals. There are 36 drivers and 2 got sent home. ! because he had issues with being fingerprinted and asked smart ### questions and another for physical problems. We filled out applications for TWIC cards and if you did not have a passport which are both required.

 

Well that certainly makes sense! Can you push that thing to the limit to get a feel for what it would be like to have the truck get out of control and try to get it back again...like on a skid pad?

 

Second day.
Boring ckassroom stuff. The instructors are good especially Matt.

Are you in training now or will you be starting in January? I was given a date of January 11, maybe I'll see you there. BTW, if you already posted the info somewhere else then disregard my ADD...

Yea it's in Springfield.

 

I am going to start CDL training today. My plan is to start orientation the second week in January!

 

Well if everything works out I will be in Springfield on the 11th. Good luck on the training.

 

Greetings New Drivers! I've been reading this thread for 4 months. Completed my Upgrade to A seat driver today at the Pittston Terminal! I'm glad to have the training out of the way. I'll be updating and writing here more often since I'll be Solo and Company driving.
