As we speak I’m climbing I-77 in Virginia heading for Ohio. This is my second time driving this route through the mountains of VA and WV. What genius thought it would be a good idea to build a highway here. This is like a 4 hour roller coaster that stops being fun after 20 mins lol

77 was built to make it easier. try us 58, us 52 or cut threw marion on 81 to west jefferson nc. 77 is a breeze. you could be running them coal roads in KY. next time run up into ky from kinsport tn on I-26 until it runs out.

The mountains toward the east coast are the only ones that have caused a truck to die on me.
Freightliner dd15 with a small outfit and a kenworth x15 Cummins with Conway.
The only truck not bothered by then is the one with the unmuzzled c13.

You should not be typing in a forum as you are driving on a roller coaster.
Best to wait until you are shut down.

Slow down and enjoy the ride. It's good to get the fun routes during your training, rather than after you're solo.

    truckdriver31 and slow.rider Thank this.

Driving in West Virginia is like being with a shallow and materialistic woman. She will lure you in with her beauty and adventurous spirit, then wear you down until you break.
