A/C Problems: Please Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated

I didn't make a very clear helpful statement there. They charged me 104 bucks for the expansion valve itself and some asinine sum of like 700bucks labor and 1 lb. Of Freon. Said it was troubleshooting. I told them straight up what I thought it was and to put it on and if I was wrong so be it. Charge me. A/C rates right up there with emissions for a RIP off scam. For the last 20yrs or so I always just fixed AC myself but I was dead tired and thought surely it wouldn't be a big deal to change it out. Even took mattress out for them....That is what I get for thinking.
