    I have a 2020 GPI gooseneck,
made in Fulton,Ms. Awhile back I made a tight turn and pulled the wires out the 6 way port on my ram 2011. Now in this ram I had an adapter for the trailers brakes. One of those you plug into the data port. So after I made that tight turn I ended up putting the wires back lights worked great brakes worked great on between heavy electric at 4.5, 5.5 etc etc. Fast forward I buy a new ram the trailer brakes is placed near the auxiliary. Very comfortable place. BUT NOW I HAVE NO TRAILER BRAKES. EVEN ON 10.0. I’ve checked a bunch of images, wire diagrams, etc etc. I can’t seem to get it right. I’m going to attach the link above maybe someone can help me figure this out. Thanks. Oh. Also. The wires are green, brown, yellow, white and 2 blacks. Oh yea it only has 5 wires. 6 pins though....

Green & Yellow are turn signals, Brown is marker/tail, White is ground, and usually a heavy Blue (10ga) is your electric brake wire. Not sure why you have the white to center? That spot is usually for reverse lighting.

I mean works the same no? When I do my light check. Everything works. Except I can’t figure out which black wire is the brake and where to put it. I’m not entirely sure if I put each black wire where it says blue belongs.

Each spot on that plug is universally designed to be used for a specific purpose, put one in the wrong spot= problems. Put a volt meter on one of those black wires and activate your brake controller to see what one it is, then attach it to the proper spot on the plug. The white wire attached to the center is wrong, it too has a specific spot on the plug in order to complete the circuit and make things work.

    That's a 7 pin RV plug. Not a 6 pin. 6 pin is completely different. 7-Way-RV-Style-Trailer-Plug-Wiring-Diagram-2.png

Unless you have backup lights on the trailer, you won't be using the center pin.

The only confusing part is the 2 black wires. I would assume one would be the 12 volt constant and the other would be for your brakes. You'll probably have to trace them out and see where they go. Usually the 12 volt constant runs to a breakaway battery charger.
