I'll give it another look. The noise almost sounds like a rattle, but it is coming from the engine. You have to be into the fuel and it is most noticible at low rpms before the turbo spools up. Once the turbo spools it drownds out the noise. You can still hear it faintly though.

Any luck finding what was the noise mine makes the same as yours

Mine is currently doing the same thing and I'm pretty sure it's an exhaust leak. Soot build up behind the ac compressor.
