8200434 is not a remanufactured starter. remanufactured starter has p/n 8300084. You can check it on Delco Remy web site.
Delco has dropped quality level of components. It's sad. There is now much better alternative for your truck. Freightliner dealers have Mitsubishi starters. Buy Japanese save your nerves.

the solenoid is not on firewall . It's now located on starter. when you buy new starter you get new solenoid .

I was thinking the starter needed a spacer, or shim by reading this older thread.

I have a 2014 freight liner... My truck won’t start. We replaced all the batteries twice and replace the starter twice.. Something keeps draining the battery and the starter. Been in the shop for a week still can’t figure out the problem..

Have you tried to replace your mechanic?
