Not gonna lie.....I've never willingly parked at a scale house....ever. I try not to tempt Fate. I must say though, there have been more than a few laye nights that I couldn't find parking.....I thought long and hard about parking at the scales.....never did though.

I've parked at a scale house before. Sometimes I'd rather tempt that fate than deal with late night truck stop lots.

I've parked some places that I'm not proud of. I once parked on an on ramp. There where no parking signs up. So I pulled up passed them and backed over them and parked on top of said signs. I've actually done that once at a truck stop too. I park alot at elevators too. It's a cold day in hell that I park at a truck stop. Only time I park at a truck stop is on my reset. It's nice to have amenities then.

    The Gentleman Barbarian.

You want a couple of places where the wait staff know you by name and know your drink. Dress nice. Sit and drink and stay off your phone. Remember the names of the wait staff. Have a predetermined number of drinks and call it quits. You will stand out. The older guys will want to know who you are and what you do. The women will want to talk with you because you stand out from all the thin skinned guys who are always in their feelings. Keep your conversation light and fun. Both will be buying drinks. Remember how many drinks you allow yourself. It will show self discipline.

In states where parking at scales is permitted, that is my preferred parking. I have never been hassled or even spoken to by the scale guys. As a matter of fact when I go to California- I park at the banning scale if I am delivering or picking up in the LA basin.

Oklahoma and Arkansas are 2 states that I have issues at even when getting express permission.

Should be quite entertaining and possibly educational.
