I have found truck drivers very generous. Today one gave me $5 cash tip when I delivered his Impossible Whopper(Just the sandwich, no fries and drink). He also advised me to have the state pay for my CDL and not get into a contract with trucking companies.

Here is today's WIIS arithmetic problem-

If the truck had about an 1/8 of a tank when we started.

And we've purchased 300 gallons of fuel so far.

    And we've used 194 gallons.

How much fuel is left in The Blackie?

    No calculator apps please.

Beats my idling tainted 5.3 mpg. I’m still driving it hard, breaking it in. I think it’s working. I had some initial blow by. Now at 46k, it’s non existent. That’s my main concern. Last Truck, blow by came back after 40k, after an inframe, using all DD parts. I wrecked it at 50k, never even broke it in. I’m hoping my mpg will increase 1 mpg, at 70k. My Dad used to get a new Truck every 100k, every one them Detroit 12.7s. Like clockwork they would suddenly break in at 70k, mpg jumping 1 mpg. Keeping my fingers crossed. This Trucks never gotten over 6.2. That was just after it broke in last time. Averaged 5.7 for a while, then it was all downhill as injectors got old, blow by was horrendous. I ran it to the brink, till it started pushing coolant. Ran it 2500 miles that way, also had a blown injector for about 4000 miles before it got the inframe. Mpg was about 4 mpg. Lol. Im hoping to get 6.5. Something tells me it will only be 6.2-6.3.

Depends on how many gallon tanks you have. 140s? If so you have 141 gallons left. Maybe half tanks on guage.

According to that guage it’s on empty, not 1/8, so if you out 300 gallons in, used 194, you’d have 1/3 tank left. Is this a trick question? If so I request exact fuel tank capacities, mileage ran, and the use of my calculator.
