No Mack the gold pete is a ‘86. I don’t mind the DD60 mechanics are everywhere.

Man that's beautiful @rank and a RV hauler that really hasn't pulled any real weight around. You can't ask for much better than that

The deal probably won’t happen. Haven’t talked Price yet but it’s probably worth more to someone else than it is to me. Does a 54 yr old farmer and part time trucker really need three old trucks?

A friend of mine owns a small trucking company, 50 trucks and 200 trailers, no touch 100% drop and hook (unless you dump the load over then your arse is picking it up), average $1500/week, W2, home every day or night (depends on how you want to run), full benefits, 70 mph trucks. No handholding, no cattle prods, no driver cams, no stupid company policies, and no anti gun policies.

He had a driver, in his 60s, who’s working at a mega carrier, come in and apply for a job with a big list of things he’s not going to do, but currently does for the mega carrier.

    -don’t drive in the rain
    -don’t drive in the dark
    -don’t slide trailer tandems
    -don’t fingerprint anything ever
    -don’t do elogs

It’s like having an extremely ugly ex, constantly nagging and complaining about everything under the sun, with bald spots and no teefus, yeast infections and a bootydo, but telling a hot girl that you won’t rag doll her and pull her hair and snuggle when you’re done.

    Are you serious?

“Yes. Told him that this is not the place for him.”

Wow. I had no idea. I knew it was tough to find a quality driver, but you have to deal with this type stuff?

Lol they try to get me all the time!!

I just point to the single screw & grin till they lower the price accordingly.. :D

The GW bridge for example is substantial. Last time I was over it was $21 per axle. $84 is better than $105..

    Unbelievable...:biggrin_25513:

At least your friend decided it was better to dump the doofus than bring him on and cater to him. That would’ve done nothing but tank the morale around his company.
