I use the Bouge RV cooler/freezer. Very efficient
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
There's one sitting in the dirt near this Love's that I believe someone was not very satisfied with.
Trucker Paul, Rideandrepair and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
The old standard “Dometic” are probably the best. Usually $600 at a Truck Dealership. They can be found online cheaper. Maybe $400. They draw less power than a standard fridge w/ inverter.
Short Fuse EOD, disoba, Snailexpress and 2 others Thank this. -

Dead non working fridge will not drain battery. All others will do. Vevor is good one.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
All fridges or coolers drain the battery. What are you looking for. Compressor driven then dometic would be the best choice. They are designed for trucks.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
I second @Rideandrepair.

I tried to get the kid that just bought my oldest truck a free one from Freightliner.
They're a $1,000 installed. The fridge itself is $800 dealer cost.
I got them put in the other trucks, and they work great.
You get what you pay for.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
I would definitely go with a refrigerator that is 12v. Not a cooler and not a 110v unit. Those refrigerators are not designed for the vibrations that you experience in a semi truck. I have the original refrigerator in my truck and I can leave it on over the weekend and my truck starts fine on Monday.
Rideandrepair and Roman78 Thank this.
