    Hi all,

What can a driver do when a Sas lumper service that keep you waiting all day for a unload, and burns up your clock?

There's nothing you can do, except try to avoid lumpers in any situation.

Leave. Donate product. Have them file a freight claim. Smile

Mark in down in the sleeper and you have hours when it is time to leave.

Yup, if you sat all day then you should have a fresh clock.

I hope you didn't sit there on duty. As mentioned above, make sure you go on the sleeper berth line.

We have one particularly bad one locally. I suggested to my company. Just drop the trailer over there. Have them call us when it’s ready to be picked up.

Thanks all, but was hoping for something more proactive. Test air horn at office windows? Block driveways? How much trouble can you get into?

I did that non-sense for a few years................finally realized things would
never change so I quit pulling reefer freight. I am laughing now because every
reefer company is begging for drivers. The only way any of this will ever change
is if every reefer driver just quit...............no more, and went to something else.

The other way is to build a dedicated customer base that you haul for. Quit
hauling for the ones that screw you all the time. Only way that really happens is
if you own your equipment....run in certain areas where you know who
your customers are, etc. Say no to do the bottom feeders. Takes time to build
a strong customer base............but if you keep going back to the same broker loads
that screw you because that is easier.....you will never get out of that rut.

Brettj3876, kylefitzy and tscottme Thank this.
