What if anything have you already inspected or changed?

I would guess that you have a diode pack on the way out in your alternator or the regulator is going bad.
If you can find a auto-electric shop that will test the alternator on a bench and can replace the diode pack or the regulator you should be good.
Also take each battery terminal off one at a time and use a wire brush on the terminal and cable end. This should be done quarterly.
you should get a minimum of 13.5 volts at an idle and at least 13.8 volts and up to 14.4 volts at 1200rpmkemosabi49 and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Thanks

I’ve got a bad alternator more than once. IDK. If it’s bad, should get a new one, for free. Within a year.
Bernard D Thanks this. -
Also check your ground connections, battery to frame, frame to engine, frame to cab, and cab to dash and add a ground strap from alternator to engine block.
Clean each so you have uncorroded metal to metal connection at each point. When you can pick up a can of anti-corrosive spray at an auto parts store and spray each point after cleaning and tightening.Bernard D Thanks this.
