    If it is driving a truck or flipping burgers, an employer buys part of my life, it is a business transaction, not a family or buddy, buddy affair. Now with that said, the first question that I ask in an interview, "how do you pay, W-2 or 1099, if 1099 the interview has come to an end. The 2nd question, "you have cameras filming me"?, if the answer is yes, again the interview has ended. I am selling part of my life, not my privacy, only my labor and nobody and I mean nobody is going to stand over me and watch every little move I make, I value my life and my privacy more than I am willing to allow that to happen.

    @Grouch
    Perhaps my signature, shown below, will suit you very well.
    Several plus years ago, I was given permission by a police officer, of the Wichita KS Police Department, to use this symbol as my signature. The police officer is an ex-Marine who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

    God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

    I don't blame the OMnitracs for trying to make money. That's what businesses do.

    I don't blame mega trucking companies for using this kind of crap to save on insurance. Although it is short-sighted of them. And I'd love to see each go out of business.

    I blame truck drivers that allow this #### in their trucks. Those steering wheel holders don't have the common sense to stand up for themselves, or they are too stupid to realize the harm they are doing to themselves having that garbage in their trucks. They are too ignorant to realize that they don't need to put up with the cameras and tracking crap. Wake up idiots before it's too late. Quit your camera company job today and get a real job.

    Used to put a Bandana over the "Driver Facing Lens" (1 customer of 1 driver service )and was told after getting back to The particular Company Base, "You're Not Allowed To Cover the Cameras".
    Those times were thru 2 Local Driver Service Gigs, mid '18 thru early '20.
    Another company had 2 Cameras Facing Driver and 1 was defeated with Right Side Truck Visor, other with a Bandana. Things got fun.
    I was told "You're Not Allowed To Eat and/or Drink fluids and/or Smoke and/or Talk On Your Headset While Driving" (and Dispatch Called To Tell Me, go figure [That was a local Harris-Teeter D.C.]), so I stopped the 14 hour Turns and specified to both Driver Services, JUST LOCAL ONLY. (Still had a few "issues" but when MY PHONE Rang Into MY HEADPHONE, I Responded!!)

    Argument is too little too late-by 11 years as a matter of fact when CSA 2010 went into effect.
    A lot of older drivers had their chance to turn things around before the government started intervening but some of you(you know who MF’s are) having to run 3-4 logbooks (which none of them jived) and pop pills just to make a load!!

    Just look across the forums. There are drivers who claim to run multiple logbooks,taking pills or other illicit substances(some of who have ended up in truck accident subforums).
    Or better yet,ask the ones who’ve asked @Chinatown who’ll hire them after their transgressions!;)
