Heard Biden on the radio say they are pushing jobs at a "Living Wage" not $15/hr.

Just what is a "Living Wage"?

When the extra money that has been given out and the massive FREE food giveaways go by the wayside, the chronic unemployed will come back looking for work.

If one's renting out a house or two they own, then they could do as they wish. I'm just tired of these "Soviet Bloc" style apartments going up in some of the cities I get job offers out of and end up seeing some astronomical prices going for them. Many of them have amenities that one would find at a 3-4 star hotel that help drive up the costs along with being 3-5 or more stories just like a hotel. I'd say most of these places are usually gunning for the 20-somethings that made it big early in life.

But those of us just wanting basic amenities and a place to lay our heads? We're forced into paying for the premium package we'll never really use. Go all over a particular city and everything seems to be aimed towards the "young and optimistic" crowd. A job is easy to get, but apartments and houses in a suitable area are hard to find.

As far as jobs in my area go, much of the same. Fast food, service jobs, and the plethora of trucking companies tied to the dairy industry are seeking applicants as always. But all three places are paying the same as usual.

I went to a McD’s the other day in MT and they were card only ordering through the kiosk and had 4 people working in the back, nobody at all on the front counter. That’s a decent increase in margins when you figure you’re probably moving the same amount of product with half the staff you used to have.

I've seen help wanted signs everywhere I go. Lots of businesses in every sector you can imagine are looking for help. As far As the trucking industry, when are they not looking for drivers? As far As the cheap plastic trucks you mentioned. I'm not buying a $125k Truck for an idiot that can barely take care of a $10k Volvo. I mean really ..... have you looked at what qualifies for a driver these days?

Hell, they clearly threw that one out in the engineering offices years ago, in fact I believe they made drugs a requirement there.
