Alternator Guage and buzzer.

    2003 Pete,379 C 15 cat 10 speed.
    Ok here gos .
    Dont mean to sound like a broken record but i am having issues with my electrical at the Alt guage and buzzer.
    My alternator guage will go down around 12 ,13 .
    Buzzer gos off when i start my truck.
    I give it a quick jab at the throttle and it gos to normal.
    At night with all my lights on it gos down and buzzer gos off.
    So im turning lights off here and there si the buzz. dont drive me crazy.
    Alt is new.
    Any words of wisdome would be helpfull thanks.

    I would guess that you have a diode pack on the way out in your alternator or the regulator is going bad.
    If you can find a auto-electric shop that will test the alternator on a bench and can replace the diode pack or the regulator you should be good.
    Also take each battery terminal off one at a time and use a wire brush on the terminal and cable end. This should be done quarterly.
    you should get a minimum of 13.5 volts at an idle and at least 13.8 volts and up to 14.4 volts at 1200rpm

    The Alt is 5 mo. Old Batt are 6 mo. Old
    And when i use anything elect the Alt gos down to 12.5 and buzz starts and 60 seconfs later the wipers ,Alt, speedo,mph,dont work.?

    I’ve got a bad alternator more than once. IDK. If it’s bad, should get a new one, for free. Within a year.

    Also check your ground connections, battery to frame, frame to engine, frame to cab, and cab to dash and add a ground strap from alternator to engine block.
    Clean each so you have uncorroded metal to metal connection at each point. When you can pick up a can of anti-corrosive spray at an auto parts store and spray each point after cleaning and tightening.
