I'd be the first to agree with you but I'm going to throw in the fact that evolution or history or whatever did condition us to be social creatures for survival. Just because we have overcome 99% of the threats that required our cooperation doesn't mean we can automatically discard millennia of conditioning.
Point being... awareness is helpful but being judgey when we find ourselves doing is just silly. We're critters not computers.

Some of it might be due to brown fat. It's really interesting but I'm not informed enough to explain it. Look it up. Thermogenic fat I think is the scientific term. It creates heat metabolicallysinglescrewshaker, jamespmack, cke and 4 others Thank this.

Friends are hard to define, usually from my experience, when the chips are down, you stand alone. I'm fortunate as I have People in this world who actually like me and I like them. They are mostly professional drivers, they are good people, the ones I know, they have helped me with mechanics and giving me advice in this industry. Our jobs are not the easiest in the world. So, I have respect for these Women and Men.
On the other side of the coin there are Drivers who don't like me, will do anything to tear me apart and destroy my reputation. But, in the end it is the Professionals who come through.

They sure do. Pyramids, aqueducts, the Roman Colliseum. Even solitary inventors build from their cultural platforms. Heck even the Arabic zero didn't arise in a void....lol sorry
Conversely the average inflexible misanthrope isn't commonly memorialized as an enviable man.
Balance in all things. A novel concept for this era's drama prone but still a time tested and proven method for good foundation.singlescrewshaker, cke, Gatordude and 2 others Thank this. -

That's not true, it depends where you are. I used to goto Vernon (LA) CA once a week. I delivered hogs to farmer John's. It would be in the 70s and I would be sweating hard just standing there and the people around me were all in winter coats, hats and gloves. It was hilarious. They wore more clothes in the 70s than I do in the 30s....lolsinglescrewshaker, cke, beastr123 and 3 others Thank this.
