How high will the prices go before people start selling their trailers? I have ten from 2019 to 2021 and seeing truck paper made me think about selling them and then just renting 10 until I can get 2023’s next spring. It’s pretty crazy. I have reefers too but they don’t seem to be as out of hand as vans are.

They're making more by using them than by selling them. Whatever extra they can get from selling now, they can also get by using the trailer for 60 or 90 days, but then they still have the trailer.

That rental cost might be steeper than usual these days too though. Might eat up most of the bonus you get from selling now.

Looking at the current environment it looks like I'd settle for anything in good shape 53x102. I'd like a spread but they are almost impossible to find. Prefer a great Dane or Hyundai but will take a utility. Another problem is im going g to need another shortly after. I'm still looking, might be able to find a good used one from one of the mega carriers and put some money into it.....we will see.

Most prevalent Reefer I've found is a 48'....I've thrown that idea out the window though. Broker I would deal with is picky and wants me to get brand new and drop everything if he has a load that needs run.....no thanks

Stoughtons are real good too. I'd buy Stoughton before Utility or Hyundai.

Not to be negative but you're not going to find anything reasonable now.

On my local Facebook I see a year 2000 trailer for $10,000... with a translucent roof. I see a 99 with bald tires that the Rusted that's probably been sitting for a long time with a translucent roof for $5,000. I see a 2015 utility, which I think is probably kind of a junky trailer to me anyway, for $33,000.

I also see a 2004 Wabash duraplate with air ride for $14,000.

With the rate of inflation that's happening right now and looking forward on to this economy just my own personal opinion it's insane to buy that now.

I thought someone told me you can't even buy a new trailer they are all backordered and the prices I believe have risen on them also.

By the way, I have a 2001 Wabash air ride Dryvan all new brakes tires are 100% new air cans airbags cams bushings drums slack adjusters service bearings everything ready to go.

    Only $25,000.

Very sad in Seattle. Well, they are stealing converters now. Don't drive a Toyota Prius or SUVs. These converters have precious metals, some priced more than gold at the moment.
