Well there is alot more to it. What series is it. Does it have piston oil squirters? Did he install updated drilled rods? Press on wrist pins, or bolt on?

Any reputable tuner can guide you in the right direction.

A GK60 can run a long, happy life at 550hp if tuned correctly and driven responsibly. Around 600hp is about the max I like to go with them because of the lack of piston cooling nozzles but that's with and injector upgrade.

What do you do that you need all the HP? My s60 is 435/475 I think, and I haul 43000 thru PA down to SC, lots of hills, then north up the middle to Ontario and dont have a problem. I'm told that tune so understresses them my engine should go 1.5mil no sweat?

275hp will still get the job done so why not turn yours down to that? You can get a good night's sleep in a 30" flat top so maybe that's what all trucks should have. No more 13 and 18 speed transmissions - 8s for everyone. It's been pretty hot this summer but no need for AC when we have crank windows to cool us off

What I'm getting at is sometimes it's nice to have more than just the bare minimum

You keeping up with the maintenance of that K&N filter? I know 2 people that have dusted motors for lack of keeping those expensive pos filters sufficiently wet with oil.

I would like to put my truck on a dyno to see exactly where she is at. Even though the mechanic said that i have such power, that could be false since i didnt really see them doing it. I have a scan gauge and boost only goes up to 31.5 psi, it also tells you the hp of the motor, before the inframe i saw up to 480hp on cruise up a steep hill.

Now I have only seen just a bit over 300hp, Scan gauge has the same settings as before. Truck tends to lose momentum when rpms dip under 1300 on a steep grade going 70mph plus with a 10k or less load.... dry van all steel wheels with 295/75/22.5 tires.

I use to run continental hdl super singles and a 10 speed...i change to a 13 speed because i had no overdrive on that 10. Was doing 65mph at 1600rpm on 11r front tires.

In the rear I have steel inner and aluminum outer wheels on some crap thailand trazano 295/75/22.5 tires (bad invesment) which am itching to change out for some all positions for a smoother ride.

Right now i have 2.9 rear end, doing 70mph at 1280 rpms due to the 13spd, might be thinking of putting maybe a 3.5 so i can cruise at 65mph around 1400

Some late model years GK blocks are drilled for oil squirters all you have to do is add them. I even had a GK with them. But idk if they were factory or added. Then we built a BK with drilled rods.
