Hey DStockwell, I'm in Ga and was wondering about truck driving training too.
I'm supposed to be leaving for Stevens Transport Sunday untill I found this site and now have second thoughts.
I read about your training at a local tech college and was wondering how I could get started the same way.
You said you got financing paid by the state, how can I get in on this?
BTW, I'm in Acworth Ga and there is North Metro Tech down the road.
I'm really interested in that 99% state funded thing.
And Do you think I could make that Jan. 16 start date?

If your a resident of Georgia, you should qualify for the Hope Grant (I am also retired military, but I do not think that matters) I am going to Valdosta Tech, and their class is full. You will need to contact the local school http://www.northmetrotech.edu/ their site shows a program.
