Looks like the trailer could have been rusted out and the back half of the trailer along with the tandems parted ways.
Was the rest of trailer further down the road behind it ?
And then the Jeep over the front in my opinion was probably caused by poor securement along with the massive deceleration caused from losing the tandems and then the driver stomping the brakes during a holy #### moment. -
Most of the car haulers I see daily are foreign with new or almost new DOT numbers. A lot of sketchy equipment. A lot of crappy securement IMO, I never hauled cars but some of it is obvious.

I can only imagine that conversation with the home office. "Well, can you still get it there on time."

That was an accident on i 40 headed westbound. I believe a truck headed eastbound crossed the median and hit the rear end of the trailer and is off in the woods outside the frame of the picture

Bad day at the office.

Yeah that is also a newer Volvo so doubt the trailer was in terrible shape though have been surprised before.
