No, no, no,.... Idea is to jam 2 nuts together themselves tight enough they can make the stud turn.
Say halfway down the existing length. Did not look as if you had much space/area to use the vice
grips. Vice grips do not hold well on threaded rod, chew off the threads and skip.

Wife got a deal on a small table for the porch. Thought I’d make her happy, put it together. Guess what? No hardware. Can’t return it, last one. Lol. Bought 8 - 1” metric bolts at ACO. $4.00. Decided to get dinner, while out. Everything’s closed. 2 Popeyes sandwiches, and 2- 2 pc combo Tuesday special $15 total. Not bad. Last time I was at Popeyes at T/A in Monroe Mi. 2 pc. Combo was $9, and they were packed. I to pass on that deal.

Thank you, it’s the most excitement I’ve had all day. Can’t wait to hear if you get them out, or snap them in half. Lol.

I swear, thats the guy who will try to pass you in the parking lot on the way to the scale, throwing dust and gravel, screech to a stop and make the scale rock, and then get out and walk like this into and out of the scale office.

Take the new and old part to a machinist... Show him the studs you want, and how they attach... He can make them for you in probably 30 mins... Might be expensive, unless you have a friend who is a machinist.

Ya know, that bolt business might be something to get into. What with you in furniture assembly, and 77FIB77 in brake valve repair, could be lucrative.
