What I got was 90% of pay and of course if you are running under another's authority , that includes their ifta. I durance has to be theirs also but you are paying for it. Just like any lease on. No tires etc. At 10% you would not be getting that unless perhaps company had a discount on them. But still you pay.
Now for 15% I can get fuel card, tire discounts, 85 an hour repairs, loads, payment plan on repairs, insurance, 401k .... For leasing on under their authority and hauling their loads.
10% for simply using authority and company only deals with invoicing loads , ifta, is the going rate. If you make good money then it is worth it for everyone.
looking for a authority to run under

It is because of split exhaust. There is the dpf filter on passenger side and the def filter and exhaust outlet on driver side. There is no room to run a drive shaft.
ProfessionalNoticer and Long FLD Thank this. -
Yeah that’s a little cramped. Lol. I didn’t know what you meant by split exhaust.

Pete did away with it in 17. Unfortunately I got the 17 that still has it.
A full delete would cure it but truck is too new. I don't think anyone can delete it yet. 16 seems to be cutoff point -
I give up 30% to my reefer carrier and think it's worth it .
I pull theyre trailers and they pay 100% of the fuel, maintenance, repairs , unloading and no trailer rent .
I haul theyre contract freight and being tenured here I seldom go anywhere I haven't already been many times .
Home weekly .
Already under a 2 mill liability policy and pay 3k a year for all my other truck insurance.
No dispatch hassles .
No compliance hassles .
They file my ifta.
No licensing hassles
No chasing my money.
Theyre shop will work on my truck for 72.00 an hour and parts at 10% over cost.
Run on theyre fuel card.
Access to 24/7/365 road service and towing.
24/7/365 service contract on the reefers with carrier.
And the security of a small carrier that has a good name and has been in business since 1932....if I have an issue help is there 24/7 .
That's worth 30% to me .Beaver9, kemosabi49, Coffey and 2 others Thank this. -

Well I thought I’d lease on some O/O and give the the fair deal that I couldn’t find & than reality reared it’s ugly head in my face ! The True Owner Ops you want either have their own authority or they have a good company. And sure you can make some money leasing on guys who run fast and dirty until their dirt lands on you! And due to the Feds new Toolbox ‘Resurrected Carriers’ that’s it for you ! There’s no 2nd chance Authority. Nobody will care about your business like you ! So I’ll stick to my honest living with my truck and if I add more they will be my trucks. I don’t want to sit in a office getting rich off other drivers that’s why I took my shot because $&@& those lazy guys who want it easy ! There are some dirty Companies and O/O out here running Dirty and Cheep and it hurts the little guys like me the most because I don’t run dirty ! My equipment is kept legal and I maintenance my Equipment regularly and I don’t haul cheep freight for anyone and if it weren’t for people saying I’ll do it for less than we would all be better off ! Imagine calling a plumber and telling him how much you’d pay him to do work for you !? Why is it people think they tell Motor Carriers what the rate is ?! Because somebody always does it cheeper. My truck will sit until something good comes around thank god that’s at least 3 times a week and thank god I don’t have to run my equipment to death chasing a buck. The game is rigged Banks, big carriers and etc. force Truckers to run hard and long just to keep the lights on. When your truly free and the only payment you have is for your truck insurance and fuel and a few much smaller expenses. You’ll have the freedom to work less for more rather than more for less like 10% or 20% or 75% to anyone! I don’t have it all figured out and most people talk so much crap ! But my advice be humble ! Learn everything you can, set a goal bust your ### to achieve said goal and earn your freedom ! The pursuit of happiness! Your birth right ! True American entrepreneur is my goal what’s yours

In my early days of running for the first time on elogs I was dreaming of landstar. I watched all the videos, saw the rates and thought they were the cream of the crop. When they rejected me for lack of recent time I was upset. Then I found a medium size company that lets me run load boards. I make 2-3 times what landstar YouTube video makers make just by knowing the lanes and times to run.
However running load boards isn't for everyone. Every load is a game, and you have to know when to call and when to let a load age. The fine balance can make you a literal $5 a mile more.
Landstar rebroker network is easier. Just click to book LOL. Get your $2 a mile and 10x pilot points and be happy. Or do hard work and make $6 a mile. The choice is up to you.
Let's just say i laugh when I see a blue star now.Beaver9, Speed_Drums, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this.
