I get it when parking is limited inside spitting distance of big cities but when your having trouble finding parking in Oklahoma it becomes obvious they dont give a frick about truck drivers.

Hate rolling into Tulsa late. At least no one says anything when the trucks fill up the car parking side of the service plazas.
Whaddya do? Parking sucks around Tulsa.
If I rolled through there a lot would probably find one of those restored motor inns they have so many of that's decent and that would be my go to solution. I've never stayed in any of them but at night they mostly don't look half bad. Of course they could be drug infested roach motels for all I know, I'm not sure. It looks like it's easy to find a $30-40 motor inn around there. -
I dont stay in hotels often but on occasion I will. I havent been to the house in over a year so... What I cant help but notice is the $70 - $100 chain places are housing homeless during the pandemic. The smell of weed, jam packed garbage cans, weirdos walking around at all hours, the occasional outburst in the hallways and trash laing around is all to be expected. I seem to mostly go unnoticed by these creatures but the shell shocked look on some of the normie travelers staying for the night always gives me a chuckle. Id swear some people live tremendously sheltered lives and dont even know it.

When I travel if the motel isn’t at least $120 a night , I don’t stay there .
The price keeps out the riff raff.
but I get reimbursed $120 a night for motels and $60 a day for food if I have a motel receipt and $45 a day for food without a motel receipt.
Was getting 57 cents a mile to drive my personal vehicle , which was a 22 yr ok’d Volkswagen Golf turbid diesel five speed that got 44 mpg, but they handed me the keys for a brand new Crew cab 4wd F-250 and a gas card and made me start driving it.
Guess they finally figured out that some days I made more off the milage than my salary . -
Need more places with parking lots, but 30 a day is too much with nothing other than parking. I've actually thought of a few park/shower/wash clothes type of places myself to create, after I'm done driving.

Some said $15. I can't see $30. You can get a reserved at most any Pilot for $15 and have access to food, etc.

That's a real bad area for parking, it has a massive parking shortage around there. I wonder what the Love's thinks of this, not that they can do anything about it one way or the other. I'm guessing they're alright with it as it'll bring in more revenue for them without them having to pay for that land or property upkeep. I'm assuming drivers will be able to get in and out of this place on foot whenever they want to, so they could easily walk across the street to the Love's right?
That Love's is ALWAYS overflowing and packed full before 6:00pm. It's one of the worse Love's out there and is dirty, busy and kind of run down. I never stopped there unless I had to. I would only pay the $30 if I had no other choice, that's pretty expensive. Also I don't know why they say angled parking like that is easier, it's not. They should've done 90 degree backs, those are by far easier than these angled parking spaces (at least for me).
