First night in the truck they didn’t show much about how the APU and everything works does the APU run constantly for AC in sleeper? Does it kick on if inverter drains too much battery? Also is this why I’m getting no TV signal? Nobody at epic vue to answer when I called.

I drove your truck a few weeks ago as a loaner while mine was in the shop. I see its still clean from where I got it washed before bringing it back. If I recall your truck has a Carrier APU, they run continuously unless you go in the menu and program it. As for the TK units, the AC runs too, but the APU kicks on when voltage drops.

I don t know what all they ve shown you how to do, but on your tablet if you have one send in a repair request for the broken cable, and they ll get you in the shop to fix it

Thanks man really appreciate it, yeah it’s a carrier APU. Learnings been a bit wonky they had to fix the solenoid today the differential lock, fifth wheel dump weren’t working and wasn’t allowing the fifth wheel to be slid either working now but kicked me out of it most of today.

Well I guess I can make this official on here….

Friday is my last day with S&S. I was offered and accepted a local home every night job in Fargo. Sharon said I was welcome back if it didn’t work for me.

I’ll be lurking on this thread as well @RampageGNS, so if you need help BK and I can probably help.

One tip I do have for you, is when your backing up have at least one window open. I was gonna help you out today, until I saw Davis coming out.

    Until I post again…..

Hey everyone, things seem to be going well. Just finished the training phase got lucky enough to have @bigkev1115 be my trainer. I don’t really enjoy sharing small areas with people but couldn’t have asked for a better person to have as a trainer since it’s just part of the deal. Was a pleasant experience and made it very easy on me, a great guy. Appreciate all the help and information he imparted on me. Truck was back in the shop today getting the APU up and running again so after I passed my re-evaluation didn’t have enough time to get a load but tomorrow 7:30 am I start my solo career.

Things have been going pretty well. Seems us regional drivers get some of the worst but also easiest loading/unloading areas. The Carfair on mission street in Winnipeg is about the worst set up not a fan but then you have places like carfair in St. Cloud or Dan Syverson in Albert Lea where there is no dock just park and wait for them to get you done. I did scrape my bumper slightly on the yellow posts at MCI Winnipeg though which sucks. but isn’t bad just some yellow on my bumper. Definitely been some learning curves. Hot rod don’t know if you ever had to do some little farm in the middle of nowhere think it was Hannaford, ND general grain karmack something like that but that was a janky set up too.

    Lonesome and LDYTRUCKER Thank this.

I figured I would stop in and see how everyone s doing. Its been a minute since I posted. Basically staying very busy running solo and training students. I referred and trained @RampageGNS. He did what he had to do and now on his own doing good things. I m currently on student #3 since I ve been here.
Hopefully, I will finish him out on the 10th and go home for some past due time at home.

I may train one more student when I come off time at home before the snow hits.

As far as S&S goes, its some new faces coming aboard with the company now offering CDL Training. New trailers coming in, and in 2022 we will be in the process of adding Volvo 760s to the fleet as well, So it will be a mixture of Freightliners, KWs and Volvos.to the fleet.

In the future there will be upgrades to the yards with driver amenities. Like I say, its not too much going over here except me being busy

RampageGNS, Lonesome and dwells40 Thank this.
