$32hr man that's awesome, here at my barn we haven't got a raise yet. Maybe sometime soon since everyone is giving out big raises.

That's what they say. Until we see it in stone I wouldn't count on it.Matt1924 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.

What is there to talk about? A truckload carrier bought us out. It won’t change anything. We will still run independently. Our trucks are not changing. Our uniforms are not changing. Our pay is not changing. No Knight or Swift drivers can’t transfer over to AAA Cooper and get a P&D job or linehaul job and bump people out of their runs. All it does is just gives everyone the opportunity to have bigger freight volume. At best we might inherit their benefits and 401k package. But hard to say. More to come. But for now we have nothing to worry about over here at Cooper.88 Alpha, Matt1924 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.

Unless their new uniforms are sleep panties and flip flops they won’t need to worry about anything. I can’t speak for Swift but I do know JB has taken over several major trucking companies in the DFW area within the last two years. All of those jobs have turned to #### in the last 6 months.
Matt1924 Thanks this. -
That's how I feel man lol. I was really hoping Estes would devour them so I can have seniority over my buddy that was there lol. Seriously tho, I wouldn't trust them to do right by AAA.

Going through the process for a new dedicated local account with AAA. Can anyone tell me about this physical abilities test that was mentioned to me today. The recruiter mentioned something about lifting weights and a heart rate test?
-
I had it done at a local office and it was fairly straightforward. They had me wear a heart monitor and walk around the room carrying various amounts of weights for a specified time and heart rate couldn't rise above a certain level. Numbers vary depending on age. Shouldn't be much to concern yourself about. Good luck!Lonesome and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.

@Matt1924 hit it right on the money. Pretty much what he said. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Just control your breathing when performing the exercises and you will be fine. I thought it was childish or pointless because it dose too compare to anything to the job you will be doing but that’s just what corporate wants. Best of luck to you.Matt1924 Thanks this.
