When I worked there, not only were all the truck keys identical, but the padlock they issued to secure the trailer took the same key as well! So if someone left their padlock on a dropped trailer every driver could use his key to take itt off, instead of having to cut it off. Makes for REAL SECURE trailers, huh?
BTW, I still have a door key for their tractors and a padlock key for their trailers, not that I would ever do anything shady or sneaky with them ever! ;-)

Another solution I used at Barr-Nunn was to use the seatbelts when I slept. Pull your
seatbelt strap all the way out, hold it out there ( don't let it retract back in ), wrap it around the door handle like a python would do and then fasten it, lock it, like you would if you were wearing it. Nobody will be able to open the doors this way, this keeps you more secure when you're sleeping !!

2 years of dedication, Dude, you could have removed the name "BarNunn" from your original post and replaced it with any number of trucking company names. Also, Freightliner only has about 5 different key codes, period.

Yes, all true , padlocks are all keyed the same. One key opens them all, just like their trucks ! And then they wonder why so many of their trucks get stolen ! LOL

You can order your trks. to be keyed alike if you wish.
fleets do this to make it easier to pick up a trk. if a driver walks off from it or driver gets sick and you need to pick it up.

No, but a number of large companies order them like that - one of the worst practices in my opinion.

Many more companies will use 12 or so - which means a one in 12 chance of someone having your key.

Another one to do this is PAM transport.

Barr-nunn is horrible and despicable like you said. my husband drove for them a very short time (4 months) and went through the same crap you did. They left him go because he has sleep apnea and had to use a c-pak machine while he sleeps. He told there doctor at his physical about the sleep apnea but they got rid of himanyway because he would have to have the truckng running to use it. They made him first take the sleep apnea test from his home doctor and ended up leaving him go anyway.
